Born and brought up in Derbyshire, England, Armandie has always been close to the wildlife and nature of the Peak District, which along with her very own wildlife refugees, has been the inspiration for much of her work.

Debbie Gillingham has always had a passion for dogs and for painting. she has become one of the country's most well respected canine artists. Although she is currently experimenting with and studying many different breeds, her own black labrador Friday, and springer spaniel Toby, provide the main inspiration for her unique drawings.

His constant love throughout has been to paint wildlife and he takes every opportunity to study and observe animals in their natural environment. In 1994 he spent some time in the company of world renowned wildlife artists John Seerey-Lester and Alan Hunt, the knowledge that he gained from them at this time proved invaluable. Since then he has spent time exhibiting and collecting reference at many Game Fairs throughout the country which has resulted in him producing his working dog series of paintings

I am fortunate to come from a very creative background, my father being a world-class musician and my mother a superb watercolour artist and teacher. My sister and I were always encouraged in the things we enjoyed doing, for me this meant pretty much most things throughout school years, though my strong subjects were always sport, English and especially music & the arts.

Born in 1957 in Staffordshire, his career has been well documented with transition through the media of watercolour, acrylic, pastel, and finally oil. Although he initially saw himself as a wildlife artist - ornithological subjects holding a particular fascination for him - it is painting of dogs - particularly working dogs - with which his name has become associated. The relationship between man and dog provides an endless source of inspiration for his work.
